Икона «Святые Зосима и Савватий Соловецкие»

Конец XVIIIв., Выг, 36,5Х30, дерево, левкас, сусальное золото, темпера, разделки творёным золотом.

Редкий образец каллиграфической иконы Выга — поморского старообрядческого центра искусств, процветавшего во второй половине XVIII-начале XIXв. Соловки — «малая родина» старообрядцев. Когда на Выгу писались иконы св. Зосимы и Савватия, ещё была жива память о великом Соловецком сидении — настоящей войне, шедшей 8 лет, с 1668 по 1676гг., между староверами и осадившими монастырь царскими войсками. Стены монастыря выписаны любовно и со знанием дела: изображены валуны характерной соловецкой кладки. А лики святых исполнены с графическим совершенством, напоминая о том, что Выгореция была центром не только иконописи, но и книжной миниатюры.
